Two examples beyond motor symptoms
Elevated Effort Valuation & Avolition: Socializing requires significant cognitive, emotional, and motor effort. Low dopamine decreases the brain's willingness to expend effort, making social initiation feel exhausting and leading to avolition.

Disruption of the Dorsal Raphe "Loneliness Circuit": Neuroscience research (e.g., from the MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences) has identified a specific population of dopamine neurons in the dorsal raphe nucleus that normally activate during periods of isolation to drive social seeking; when this circuit is impaired, the biological drive to seek connection after being alone is lost.
